Francesca Gavin and Jonathan have curated the permanent collection of the Dean Street Townhouse which opens this week.
The collection of largely Soho related work from around 70 artists, including Keith Tyson, Jamie Hewlett, Peter Blake and Tracey Emin, will mostly hang in the dining rooms. Although part of the Soho House chain, membership is not required, meaning anyone can visit and view the art on show.
In the tradition of establishments such as the Colombe d'Or, work has been swapped for food and drink. This of course means there's a high chance that, if you visit in the coming months, you'll be surrounded by artists who have contributed. You may or may not find that appealing...
