Jonathan Yeo Portraits at THE Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle

Following the success of his solo exhibitions a the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Lowry in Salford, Jonathan Yeo's new exhibition featured many of the same works as the previous two, but new portraits of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, the actress Lily Cole and Jonathan's latest self portrait, Photo Booth Selfie were included as well as a second gallery, which had an educational focus with sketches and studies describing the making of the Damien Hirst portrait.
The Laing was Yeo's first ticketed exhibition and with over 60,000 visitors it broke the museums records and raised significant funds for the institution.
